Company Formation Documents (part 2)

Want to know more about the company establishment in Japan? Check out our video and get in touch with us at Seventh Sense Group!

Last week we introduced the Articles of Incorporation.

Another important document that you will need when you start a company is a Seal Registration Certificate. If you live in Japan and are a resident of Japan, you probably already have your own seal. If not, you will need to acquire and register it with your city hall. Some people prefer to sign their own name or signature but for documentation in Japan, having your seal is highly recommended.

Seal Registration means the government has verified your address and personal information.

If you don’t live in Japan or are not a resident of Japan and want to establish a company in Japan, you will need a substitute document for a seal certificate.
