Running a Business in Japan: Withholding Tax

Paying salaries comes with its own set of obligations.

Companies withhold a certain amount of tax from the salaries, wages, bonuses, etc., that they pay to their employees.

Then they have to pay this amount to the tax authorities by the 10th of the following month.

Companies with fewer than 10 employees can file an application to pay twice a year.
